Success at Troon Locality Decides

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported us at the Troon and Villages Decision Day. We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the full £3000 we bid for and it’s all thanks to our amazing community and your support! We could not have done it without you!

Over 20 children from Dundonald, Loans, Barassie, Troon and Kilmarnock joined our Junior Committee on Friday 15th September at the first meeting of the ‘Crazy Castle Kids’ (they chose the name!). This funding now means we can support them with CCK hoodies and t shirts, certificates, storage and arts and craft resources, to name a few items. We can now launch a much needed regular community newsletter for delivery through the area, to try and help tackle social isolation, reaching those without access to computers and involving them in our events and activities. Our education programme can now also expand to work with lots of new groups in our area and to support them in whatever way we can. Watch this space!

Congratulations to all the other successful groups and especially our local primary school and boys football team. What a good day…

It was truly inspiring seeing how many wonderful groups we have locally, all of who work incredibly hard to support the community.

And a final well done to Troon and Villages Locality Planning Group for hosting another fantastic event! Thank you all.
