What happened in June?
Dave, one of our volunteer tour guides, led a fascinating historical walk round the castle and surrounding landscape. This was very popular and enjoyed by everyone who came along. Dave will also be providing VIP Tours throughout July and August and more information can be found here.
Our AyrshireYAC is moving from strength to strength after starting in April. They have now set up a blog page for everyone to keep up to date with all of the exciting things they are doing throughout the year. Their page can be found by following this link.
Our Can you Catch the Killer event was also a great success! We will be looking to do another murder mystery with the team in the future so keep your eyes open for that!
We had nine school visits last month we have had lot’s of excited children going up to see the Castle and learn about the history of Dundonald. This was the end of year trip for many of the classes and they all had so much fun on their visits! Who doesn’t like getting dressed up and learning all about our castle’s history?
Our Dungeons & Dragons group, the newest of our community groups, has proven very popular! The group meets every Thursday evening at 6.30pm. If you are interested please get in touch and we can give you more details! This is a free group although there is a one-off joining fee of £5 to help the group to buy dice and the other needed materials.
