Prepare To Be Spoiled
The Visitor Centre cafe is run by staff and volunteers, well known for their hospitality and recently awarded Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence for 2016.
Visitors can choose from cosy indoor seating or a pleasant outside terraced area, complete with a canopy, which makes it available come rain or shine.
Choose from delicious home-made soup, toasties and sandwiches, or a selection of locally made scones or cakes. You can be sure of the very best Italian coffee and a wide selection of speciality teas. There are lots of choices for little ones too!
We are now offering ‘Afternoon Tea for 2’ on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This will be available by pre-booking only. Bookings can be made by popping in for a visit or by calling us on 01563 851489 to reserve a time slot at either 2pm or 3.30pm on a Saturday or Sunday. Tickets are £7pp. For any more information get in touch!
The Castle cafe serves as a meeting place for lots of local groups – local historians, writers, artists, dog walkers and runners – all there to enjoy the Castle, the scenic Smugglers trail and Dundonald’s beautiful woods.
We also sell a small selection of gifts, books, local art and crafts.
