FIRE and SWORD Re-enactment Group present  -

***The Bodyguard of King James IV***

  • An insight into the clothing, armour and weaponry of the soldiery who fought with King James at Flodden in 1513.
  • View some food of the period.
  • Find out what a "Waffenfrock"is and what a halberd does.
  • Witness a clash of arms.
  • Learn more of the disaster of 9 September 1513 and exactly what happened to King James and the nation of Scotland in the aftermath.
